Ms. Ayala’s practice includes a broad range
of corporate services, including comprehensive legal and business
advice on the selection and formation of business entities, the
negotiation of working agreements between the business owners, compliance
with local, state and federal regulations, corporate governance,
and employment law.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ayala served in
the Employment Law Groups of Pfizer Inc., and Bloomberg LP. Ms.
Ayala’s clerkships include significant public service with
the Employment Litigation Division of the State of Florida Office
of the Attorney General, the Wayne County, Michigan Prosecutor’s
Office in the Child and Family Abuse Bureau, as well as an internship
in the chambers of the Honorable Leander Shaw of the Florida Supreme
Court. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida A&M University
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and holds
a law degree from Florida State University College of Law. Her studies
at FSU focused on employment and labor law. In addition, Ms. Ayala
studied comparative legal history at Oxford University in Oxford,
England. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2000.
In addition to her Corporate Services practice,
Ms. Ayala maintains a small and selective family law and estate
planning practice.

Mr. Ayala’s practice includes civil litigation
and commercial transactions. Mr. Ayala advises the firm in matters
of federal litigation, trial strategy, and practice management.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Assistant United States
Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. In that capacity,
he completed over four hundred civil and criminal cases including
twenty-one federal jury trials. He began his practice with private
firms in Michigan and Florida, concentrating in public finance and
commercial transactions. He holds Bachelors degrees from Princeton
University in
Politics and Florida Atlantic University in Computer Science as
well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia. Mr. Ayala
has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1991 and the State Bar
of Michigan since 1987.

Ms. Carter is a native of Miami with over ten
years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant. She focuses
on both pre-suit issues and active litigation. Since Ms. Carter
joined AP Law in 2008, she continues to offer comprehensive and
enthusiastic client support from initial screening through our closing
conference. With responsibility for most administrative office matters,
Ms. Carter schedules court appearances, client meetings, and business
development appointments. She establishes and monitors client files
and ensures every client receives a prompt and personal response
from the attorney handling the case. A savvy and astute professional,
Ms. Carter fiercely guards clients’ privacy and confidentiality.
She gathers all of the relevant medical records, police reports,
employment records, insurance information, and other material, which
may be needed depending on the nature of your claim. Ms. Carter
is a trusted and integral part the AP Law legal team.

Mr. Prempeh’s practice primarily focuses
on insurance litigation, representing plaintiff healthcare providers.
He has successfully recovered over a million dollars for medical
providers in South Florida. Having initially represented insurance
companies, Mr. Prempeh has a unique perspective that allows him
to develop more efficient and successful strategies for recovery.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Prempeh served as a prosecutor with
the State Attorney’s Office for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
In that capacity, he handled hundreds of criminal matters ranging
from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies from arraignment through
trial and appeal. Mr. Prempeh is a graduate of Florida A&M University
with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and holds a law
degree from Florida State University College of Law. He has been
a member of the Florida Bar since 2000.
